This painting depicts a snacks and drinks stall along the Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront in Venice, Italy. I took the photo this painting is based on hours before a rainstorm, which you can see building in the clouds. The oncoming weather, however, did not dampen the spirits of tourists and locals alike promenading along the waterfront, stopping for a ‘Spritz’ along the way.
